Hastings and Prince Edward District School
Board is recognized as one of the province's more innovative
boards. It consistently meets and exceeds provincial
curriculum standards and is constantly updating and
writing new curriculum units - recently, the board received
lead board status in writing the new Grade 10 Applied
and Academic English curriculum for the Province.

There are 48 elementary and eight secondary
schools for the more than 21,700 students in the district.
The board also provides special education programs and services
to over 2,200 elementary and secondary students.
Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board
has made the investment to integrate the latest technologies
into its schools and today every classroom has full Internet
access. As well, all students have equal access to computers
and the most up-to-date educational and research resources
on-line and on CD-ROM.
